Tring Park Trees
Photograph showing a couple of trees located in Tring Park, Hertfordshire. One of the trees is still very majestic and healthy whilst the other is dead having probably been struck by lightning like several other trees in the vicinity which all have visible signs of the destructive power of lightning

Tree Fungi
Taking a walk along the Ridgeway National Trail near Tring Park in 2016 I stumbled across this very distinctive tree at the side of the path. I noticed how well established and healthy the fungi consuming this dying tree had become, feeding off the decaying trunk and protruding from behind the bark. I felt this was an excellent example of the cycle of nature where as one organism dies, another takes it place and is nourished from the decaying matter.
